Berman Promises “Fire & Ice” Winner a Golden Chance.

Golden Gloves Promoter Rodney Berman has promised the winner of what he calls a “fire and ice” encounter between Jason “Badman” Bedeman and Bongani Dlamini at Emperors Palace on June 19, a golden opportunity of fighting for a world title early next year. “It’s true that the winner of the IBO Africa lightweight championship bout between Bedeman and Dlamini will be earmarked for an assault on the world title, though at this stage I cannot reveal much more than that” said Berman.

Suffice to say, however, that the “grudge” fight between Bedeman and Dlamini, who’ve been baiting each other for weeks, will step into the international spotlight and Berman feels that their scheduled 12-round encounter next weekend will definitely bolster the stocks of the winner. “Everyone has been talking about this contest and whichever fighter emerges victorious, the future and all it’s rainbows are there for the taking” cxoncluded Berman.

Bedeman, a savage fighter with ten wins and two draws to his name has yet to taste defeat in the professional ranks and he’s confident that the clever boxing Dlamini will crumble beneath his heavy two-handed assaults.

Conversely the Dlamini camp are already chilling the celebratory bubbly and trainer Isaac Tshabalala has predicted a second round knockout for his unusually skilled boxer. “Bongani is the best natural talent that South African boxing has seen since the days of Dingaan Thobela and a one-dimensional bruiser like Bedeman has no earthly hope of beating him” said Tshabalala.

A winner in six of his seven professional outings, Dlamini is undoubtedly a rare talent and despite having less fights than the defending champion Bedeman, who also owns the WBA Pan African lightweight title, the hard hitting “Black Panther” is the choice of many to lift the title on JUne 19 at Emperors Palace.

“Everything about this contest has an alluring appeal” said Berman “and while Bedeman symbolises the fire element in the match, the remarkably skilled Dlamini represents the ice factor. Take it from me, whoever happens to win will have earned his shot at a world championship”

Jason is nothing more than at best a provincial boxing champion and this wil be shown when he meets Bongani. Prove me wrong Jason… I doubt it. Bongani is pure class next to the Bad Man.

What I still can’t understand is why Flo is boxing against Elvis Moyo, who with all due respect is a “no name brand” who has lost both his fights with knock outs. Is this just to improve his knock out record?
