Bedeman & Simba Face Trying Matches on “Crunch Time” Bill!

Both WBA & IBO Africa lightweight champion Jason “Badman” Bedeman (12-0-2, with 10 knockouts) and local heavyweight sensation Flo “The Demolition Man” Simba (6-0, with 5 knockouts) have searching tests ahead of them on September 18 at Emperors Palace, when they appear on the undercard of the IBO world welterweight championship bout between Lovemore “The Black Panther” Ndou and Bongani Mwelase (14-0). The tournament, which has been labelled “CRUNCH TIME” figures to provide fight fans with a terrific night’s entertainment and it’s relaiably understood that Golden Gloves Promoter Rodney Berman has also added IBO world mini flyweight champion Gideon Buthelezi to the evening’s mix.

Merciless punching Johnny “Hurricane” Muller (7-0-1, with 5 knockouts) will meanwhile join the array of GGP stars on the CRUNCH TIME roster when he takes on the lion-hearted Elvis Moyo over a scheduled 6 rounds and it would be wise to remember that Moyo is the only opponent to date who’s gone the distance with Muller’s savage hitting stable companion Flo Simba.

As for Simba, there can be little doubt that he’ll be facing his toughest test to date in the form of Ghana’s Isaac Paakwesi (17-5-1), who in 2008 lost a scorching battle with Joseph Chingangu on a 7th round TKO for the ABU heavyweight title. “A solid heavyweight who will do his very best” is the way one long-time pundit summed up the 100 kg Ghanaian. And Bedeman? Based on what is known of his opponent; Sam Amoaka (6-2) of Ghana, one can safely say that the “Badman” is in for a hard fight, especially since the only setbacks on Amoaka’s resume came against the likes of Lee McAllister (30-2) and Gavin Rees (32-1). The contest with McAllister, which took place in January 2010, was for the British Empire lightweight title and the rugged African lost a 12 round decision. Another indication of Amoaka’s talent can be gauged by the fact that he won the Ghanaian lightweight title in only his fifth professional outing.

“Your guy Simba clearly needs a good test at this stage of his career and I’m betting that Paakwesi will be just the man to extend him” said a spokesman for the Ghanaian camp.

GGP boxrec don’t support the record you have for Isaac Paakwesi Ankrah they have him 1-3-0…..
    And not 17-5-1.
Please could you explain to me why do these differ?

Please tell me Budler will be on the November Bill. Boy you were in America recently. You did not loose even if some critics give you lip. You must be one of the few South African boxers that are sent oversees and win. What are some of these peoples problems.
You and Colin are a Great team are you brothers
or do you just look alike.

Uppercut I have also checked and can’t find any other record for Paakwesi. If this is the case it will be very disappointing. We want to see real fights and not window dressing (with all due respect GGP).

It will be interesting to see how Johnny fares against Elvis. I doubt very much whether Elvis is up to Johnny’s standard but he has shown that he is tough. Johnny will definately win. Please get Flo a real fighter.

Absolutely, Flo is such a talented boxer and these fighters who come up against him is really no “learning experience” for him. Young Muller should also have an easy win, I could see his improvement with every fight. He has great combinations and we all know the power behind Muller’s punches.

I’m bringing all my mates along to watch Johnny Muller in action again. This young guy looks absolutely disciplined and every punch planned but boy, we all know what a tiger he is. That is the great thing, everybody knows he can punch a guy out cold in a few seconds and we wait for it…

I also want to know about Paakwesi’s record. Please guys, Flo needs to develop and learn and he can’t do that with the fighter’s he is fighting. Johnny Muller is a tough lion and he is going to destroy Moyo.

Maybe they want to groom Flo and Johnny for this year, get them a good record so that they can be marked oversea next year, but if these two guys are so good (don’t understand me wrong they are good)they must fight stronger opponents like Anton nel ;Danie venter and osborne machimana the old school guys in the division.

Hey Guys think about it, Flo and Muller are Managed by Mr Brian, he needs these boys to go Unbetten for at lest 20 or so fights before The US market will even look at our two Lions.
When they hit the US it’s Pay Day for him.
That is how it works better records better Money deals.
Easyer fights now,but they will face better fighters in the future.
You have to love these two fighter they fight and Brain and GGP manage.
Good Luck to both they are doing SA proud.

I couldn’t agree with you more guys but we have to keep in mind that Johnny is only 86-88 kgs and no heavyweight yet. Johnny should concentrate on Cruiserweight for the next year or two. There is no way, and I fully agree, that Harold will let him fight any guy heavier than 10 or 15 kgs. That would be stupid.

Definately Tanya, Johnny should concentrate on the Cruiserweight div and Flo on heavyweight. I agree with all the comments but to put Johnny against an Osborne of approx 120 – 125 kgs would be very unwise, Flo maybe. Johnny should be fighting guys like Daniel Bruwer and Tabiso.

These guys are both great but with only 13 fights between the two of them, come on guys, they still have a long way to go. Give Harold time to groom these two fighters the best way he sees fit. And yes, Johnny should concentrate on Cruiserweights, he is fast and he’s skill has improved tremendously. Watch this young guy, he has the heart of a lion and fists like iron.

I don’t think anybody can say that my boy Johnny hasn’t fought unworthy opponents so far. Johnny has improved a lot after every fight. I was just a bit disappointed with Flo’s last fight. Flo is so talented it is was wasted against an opponent who had one day to prepare and train.

Guys please note, Simba’s opponent’s record was sent to us via Ghana but naturally I shall follow the authenticity of his record up immediately, though if you check his loss to Osborne Machimana (also on BOXREC) the record is reflected as we stated; 17-5-1.

There is definitely a GREAT DEAL wrong with the record we received.Firstly this guy never fought Osborne -though we were told it appears on BOXREC- and secondly while he did indeed challenge Joseph Chingangu for the ABU heavyweight title in 2008, Paakwesi ACTUALLY entered the ring with a record of 0-1-0 and was halted in the 5th round! Frankly I’m amazed how that bout was ever sanctioned and will do my level best to straighten out the matter with GGP’s matchmaker Ruben Rasodi.

Hi Mr “T” Reading boxrec it is impossible for Flo’s opponent only to have 4 fights .his first fight that (boxrec) got is a 12 round fight,so by the look’s of it you do got his right record (17-5-1) so I would like to apologize for any wrong comment made bye myself before.
