Berman Admits Opponents Are Afraid Of The Demolition Man!

Golden Gloves Promoter Rodney Berman admits that since most local opponents are afraid of facing his blossoming heavyweight prospect Flo “The Demolition Man” Simba (3-0, with 3 knockouts) he has had to take advantage of two offers from the United States, in which to unveil his 20-year-old dreadnought in front of American audiences. “Look it’s not only a case of the oversized Mongezi Nzamela running scared of Simba, but two other prospective rivals also said ‘thanks but no thanks’ when approached to share the ring with Flo. Frankly it makes a whole lot of sense to market him (Simba) in the land of the dollar for awhile and he’ll be having two outings in America during June and July this year” said Berman. Meanwhile the powerful hitting Simba has been slated to appear on the Emperors Palace bill on April 27, possibly against his first foreign opponent.

“We realize only too well how popular Flo is in South Africa and naturally I’d like to afford him the opportunity of boxing his next bout in this country, though I’m interested to see what BSA will do about Nzamela running out on us on Monday night at the Theatre of Marcellus” concluded Berman.

The big-framed Nzamela made himself very unpopular on Monday night when he ran off an hour before his scheduled contest with the Demolition Man, and even refused to answer calls on his mobile phone.

Trainer Harold Volbrecht put it bluntly when he told a ceretain newspaper reporter that Simba’s murderous power and excellent physique have made him a magnetic box-office attraction, is a fact and even when it became known around the Emperors Palace ringside that Nzamela had skipped off to his hotel and there would in be fight, the university student was given a deafening round of applause.

GET A QUALITY OPPONENT FOR THIS FLO SIMBA….??????????????? HE HAS JUST FOUGHT BUMS IN MY POINT OF VIEW , IF HE WAS SO GOOD HE COULDVE KNOCKED OUT STEPHEN CASTLE IN THE FIRST ROUND.PUT HIM AGAINST JOHNNY MULLER THAT WOULDVE BEEN A BETER FIGHT FOR THE FANS.

Get this straight guys, Flo will not be fighting Johnny Muller anytime soon. the reason for our decision will become apparent next week when yours truly hosts a press conference! Incidentally, I have enormous respect for young Johnny but he’s no heavyweight and would be a terrific cruiserweight with the correct guidance! Moreover, Mr Berman was not at ringside for Grant’s most recent fight, which was CLOSE though I personally believe Fourie won the contest by a solitary point. It was most certainly not the blatant “robbery” so many fans on this website have made it out to be.

Guy’s if we want to prove a point on Johnny let him fight the Rock, then we will see what the young lion really has in he’s right hand he drew with he’s last opponent any excuse on that fight fans let’s give GGP a moment to think about the opportunities here for both Muller and Flo both are great prospects, and they both fight in great weights so let’s give then breathing space here Mr. Terry all due respect sir but we want to see Flo fight some with some skill.

Terry I agree with you. Grant’s fight was very close. Unfortunately people who carry on like this are being silly. The boy is at the moment fighting such bad opponents after Jason.
Lets face it he is scared. I also so him being shaken a few times in that fight.

By the way neither Johnny or Flo will stand against the Rock. He is in the same class as Budler.

Terry is quite correct, Johnny Muller is only 19 has still has a long time to grow and develop. Johnny’s weight at present is approx 89,0 kgs and he is better “marketed” as a cruiserweight. I do however know that Flo is not yet strong enough to fight the powerful punch of Muller. Muller has proved to us that he can take opponents up to more than 30kgs heavier than himself. GGP at present knows what is best for both Flo and Johnny’s careers.

I still think this would have been a good one between Flo and Nzamela. Nzamela is very slow but very strong. Flo and the young Muller’s careers are going two seperate path’s it seems. Muller will eventually in about two or three years time be a great heavyweight, he is still basically a kid and should fight light heavy/cruiserweight. Flo and Muller won’t fight against each other any time soon although I know that Muller is too strong at this point in time for Flo. I am a huge Muller fan and believe this kid has great potential but I love watching Flo in action as well.
