Jodi Solomon is a vivacious fight manager who presently handles the affairs of WBC International light heavyweight champion Isaac “The Golden Boy” Chilembe. Not one to rest on her laurels, however, this elegant lady from Johannesburg’s Northern Suburbs has also signed ferocious punching lightweight Bongani Dlamini, a Free-State fighter with a professional pedigree of 8-2, with 7 knockouts.
“Elias Tshabalala will be training Bongani” said Solomon, who over the past number of months has formed a trusted working relationship with Golden Gloves Promotions CEO Rodney Berman. “I love working with Rodney” said Solomon, “and our plans for 2010 are tremendously exciting, especially in view of the fact that Isaac (Chilembe) will showcase his talent on a Ricky Hatton Promotional bill in London on March 26.”
As for Dlamini, the highly-attractive Solomon believes that she could have a potential champion under her wing. “Unfortunately Boxrec have not updated Bongani’s record but I’ve been reliably assured that he’s thus far shown incredible promise in his 10 professional fights and with Elias polishing his skills and GGP promoting him, I feel that he could be earmarked for lofty heights over the next twelve months”.
Promoter Rodney Berman was delighted when he heard the news of Dlamini’s arrival and immediately consulted his matchmaker Ruben Rasodi, who gave him the thumbs up sign. “If Ruben says the kid is hot stuff, he most definitely is and since Dlamini’s only 22-years-old his prospects look extremely bright as we forge ahead with our schedule for 2010”. Berman verified the fact that Emperors Palace would be hosting four premier boxing events during 2010; on February 27, June 18, September 18 and November 6.
“Naturally our boxers will also be featured on various overseas bills, under the joint auspices of business associate Art Pellulo in the United States as well as Ricky Hatton Promotions in Britain. Then too a number of our top prospects will have outings on African Ring tournaments, which are fairly regular attractions at Emperors Palace ”
It isn’t as yet clear when the big punching Bongani Dlamini will make his debut under the GGP banner.

I trust in Mr. Terry’s word on this one don’t really know this fighter but do recall that I have heard of him. I could help noticing hat the young lad had a ten rounder with Takalane Dangala, which shows great excitement to which it went the distance, which shows there won’t be that much of a lack in experience when he appears on GGP shows. I’ll be looking out for this young gunner in the near further.
