Unbeaten Golden Gloves Promotions fighters Flo “The Demolition Man” Simba and Jason “Badman” Bedeman will be facing Ghanaian opposition on the “CRUNCH TIME” bill at Emperors Palace on September 18, in which Lovemore Ndou defends his IBO world welterweight title against local southpaw favourite Bongani “Cyclone” Mwelase. Another of GGP’s sensational young tigers; Johnny “Hurricane” Muller (7-0-1, with 5 knockouts) will test his undefeated record on the star-studded undercard against Elvis Moyo, who previously became the only fighter to go the distance with Flo Simba.
The lethal hitting Simba is slated for a 6-round match against Isaac Paakwesi, while Bedeman enters the ring in a scheduled 10-round event with Sam Amoaka.
To date, Simba has a record of 6-0, with 5 knockouts and Bedeman has stretched his unbeaten resume to 12-0-2 with 10 knockouts.
“We have a brilliant product mix” said GGP director Gary Pretorius “and the way I see it this tournament will certainly rival some of the best ‘knock-em-down, carry-em-out’ fight rosters of 2010. Golden Gloves Promoter Rodney Berman agreed and pointed to the fact that the nucleus of his consortium’s operation; Simba, Muller, Bedeman, Tshifhiwa Munyai, Tommy Oosthuizen, Hekkie Budler and Isaac Chilembe have an exciting time ahead of them. “After this humdinger tourney we do still have the November extravaganza at Emperors Palace to look forward to, when Oosthuizen challenges IBO world super middleweight champion Chilembe for his title. Of course there’ll be a great deal of time focusing on the possible mandated WBC Silver world title bout return between Munyai and Mexico’s Cristian Esquivel and once we have the official approval of the WBC we can get to work on our purse bid to stage the fight in South Africa as early as possible” said Berman.
There could also be outings for unbeaten prospects Joey Stiglingh and Chaz Wasserman before the end of the year.

Seriously, why put Jason against Sam Amoaka – its a walk in the park for Jason, Sam has lost his last 2 fights…. this is not entertaining! Why not put Jason up against the likes of Sydney Maluleka or Zolani – come on -

The Fourie camp were offered the fight for September and turned it down!No Fourie will not appear on our November bill but there’s an excellent chance that Stiglingh will.

Grant is a great kid but he seems to want to hand pick his fights. At your age you must start to take the sport serious or leave it.
Stigling has a amature back ground the same as you. Why are you so worried? Take a gamble maybe just maybe you win?

Apparently the Fourie camp only want to return in November as per one of Terry’s previous comments, maybe there is a good reason why! Maybe his going overseas, or getting married or something big like that!
But lets make this fight happen in November I personally would pay BIG money to see this fight!

I personally think Grant Fourie wants this fight more than anything – I think every boxer has the opportunity to hand pick there fights! nothing wrong with that! maybe the timing is just not rite for the Fourie camp! but GUARANTEED he will win this fight…. not just maybe “boxing crazy”

Hi Guys
A supper six fight out, sounds like a good idea but how does this make it interesting for the “Badman”? If he has STOPED two of the best fighters in your mix that you have given?
The other three will have to wait in line for a hidding.
Jason is for sure looking for bigger and better fights in the future than that.

I still reckon Fourie is one of the best! Once he puts his mind, body and soul into boxing his going to be KING! Hopefully that would happen soon if not it would be a shame to see such tremendous talent vanish! (only talking from what ive seen in the ring)

Well said Britt and Lourens.
Funeka VS Jason that is a fight,Young lion Vs Old lion.
These two can give us what we have been looking for a Lightweight punch up of South Africas best!

agreed Jason is indeed the Lightweight King, and yes what a fight it would be!!! No-one should be allowed to step into the ring with him unless they have a record to back them up as I beleive Jason will consider nothing less than the best he has definitly proven he is worth it!!!
