South African latest heavyweight sensationa Flo “The Demolition Man” Simba (7-0, 6 knockouts) is being primed to face his first foreign boxing opponent in Colombia’s Hugo Anibal Abad Monzana.
How good is the South American and what is his record? Analysts will inform you the 35-year-olf fighter has a record of 20-7-1 and besides being born in South Amercia, has a natural form of bravado that says he’s by far one of Equador’s (Where he fights out of) busiest and toughest fighters over the past five years.. One of several contenders who regularly enter the ring at between 180-195 lbs, the orthodox Abaad stopped Ayman Ramadan in 2008 and has a very decent mark-manship record. He has, however, elected to boxes under the name of Hugo Anibal Abaad.
Abad also faced up to Brinatty Maquilon and the very capable Gonzalo Omar Basilie before losing high-velocity punching contests, but his courage has never been in doubt and to be fair the Equadoran won his last two bouts on knockouts..
Moreover, in registered a 3-round loss to Livin Castello in 1995, he dropped a decision to the New Yorker (193 lb) heavyweight who had just come off a victory over SA Heavyweight champion Osborne Machimane.
In 2009, in his biggest bout yet, Abad made a point of staying with Basilie (40-0) in Buenos Aries, but the champion hit too often and the Abad was beaten in four rounds.
Overall though, the hard fighting Abad has genuine performances against a number of name fighters ranking from flyweight to heavyweight Ayman Ramadan, Victor Campoverde, Edgar Borja, Gonzalo Omar Basile (WBC INTERIM Heavyweight title)., Brittany Maquilon, Robin Castaneda and Washington Grueso,
Methinks I’ll be looking forward to seeing a veteran with 17 years experience shape up against a growing behemonth who was still in nappies when Abaath turned pro.

The South Korean, who goes by the monicker of “Volcano”, posed a serious threat to Bedeman.
The public was worried when Golden Gloves Promotions publicist Brian Mitchell announced the fight. Kim will be remembered for relieving Zolani “The Untouchable” Marali of his IBO junior lightweight belt.
The Marali-Kim fight was presented by Golden Gloves at Emperors Palace on September 12 last year. Marali was cruising until he got caught with a humdinger.
It looked like Marali was clowning around when he went down but when he nodded to referee Phil Edwards indicating that he had had enough, fight fans realised that Kim was very dangerous.
Kim, who is jointly promoted by Golden Gloves and Banner Promotions, has been sanctioned by the IBF to oppose Leonardo “Lenny” Zappavigna for the vacant No 1 spot in the IBF’s lightweight division, Mitchell announced yesterday.
“What a pity. Kim would have been an appropriate test for Bedeman but this is also good news for us. In the event Kim losses against Zappavigna, he will fight Bedeman in February,” said Mitchell.
“Bedeman will still fight on November 6 against a highly rated opponent whose name will announced in due course.”
Kim, 23, is currently rated third while Zappavigna, an Australian of an Italian descent, is rated No 9. Zappavigna, 22, a Melbourne bronze medalist is undefeated after 24 fights.
Now let Jason fight Zolani….

Thank you Tanya. Two strokers in two months are hard to live, no doubt, with but with God’s love I made it through. Must add though that our most illustrious warrior Brian Mitchell has now officially taken over as the GGP spokesman. Having said that I shall continue doing work on our invaluable website.

Jason should maybe fight Warren Joubert on a non title fight in November.
Just a thought Warren has had a few good fights and I think he and Jason would make a good match up.

Hi guys it sounds like Morali is the bench mark for Jason, that is so far off.
Jason is younger and faster boxer than Morali and is so fit right now, did you not see he’s last fight so called fight fans.
The BADMAN’S work rate is so good right now that is why GGP put him on the 6th Nov bill.
Jason you are World class
September 28, 2010 at 7:08 pm, "Uppercut" said:
Jason should fight Morali it will be a easy win for him .Morali will not be able to take the pressure from Jason, and as we all know Morali likes to quit in the fight. You can get super fit by training very hard, but if you have no heart being super fit will not help. What Morali needs is a heart transplant. lol

Hey any guy who has been in the ring over 20 times is hard. Win or loss and bear mind he has won more fights by KO than Flo has fought, so a test never the less. (won 20 (KO 9) + lost 7 (KO 7) + drawn 1 = 28) Good Luck Flo
September 29, 2010 at 9:34 am, Britt said:
Roberto, my dear friend haven’t we sorted this “BUM” thing out long ago?
Didn’t I prove you wrong with this “BUM” thing?
Once again I ask, please show me one, just one, boxer in the history of boxing that didn’t fight bums in the begging of he’s career?
Now that Stephan is here, let him be the witness, Robbie Lombaard, remember what noise was made for that youngster?
They were going at it “hammers and thongs “(he’s the biggest thing since bubblegum) and why did they go on about it so much?
Because it’s “Golden Gloves Promotions” they promoting their fighters whether they can fight or not, whether they fighting David Haye or a bum from the local tavern, rest assure they must still promote their fighter.
So I don’t really understand your point of argument?
Are you arguing about Golden Gloves doing there jobs? By promoting their prospect
Or are you arguing about the fact that Flo is just walking the normal grooming path that any other “ANY OTHER” fighter has walked in the past 50 years?
Now once again I’m not trying to teach you anything, but just reminding you of the facts!
And all this I’m saying with a humbled heart
God bless

what’s he’s record because I see on Boxrec there’s no info ?
September 29, 2010 at 11:00 am, Stephen Castle said:
Guys, lets chill. The facts are and i understand both arguements. I had the same problem with the way we build fighters up in the press the wrong way. If you have a youngster who you think has promise say that. Don’t compare him to great boxers and put that pressure on him. Just say that he has potential and tell others to come give him support. Humble support request are better than hot air press statements. That is in my opionion. What would we all be saying about Flo, if no one had said he would be great. I will tell you guys one thing, the boy can hit hard. Good luck to him!! I will be there supporting him all the way. And any boxer brave enough to make this his career.
