Tshabalala Predicts Early Night For Dlamini!

Trainer Elias Tshabalala believes that his boxer Bongani Dlamini will knock out Jason “Badman” Bedeman when they meet in a scheduled 12-round IBO Africa lightweight title bout at Emperors Palace on June 19. Part of the Golden Gloves “BLOCKBUSTER” extravaganza, which also features three IBO world championship bouts, the Bedeman versus Dlamini contest has inspired a truckload of comment and numerous pundits feel that the naturally talented Dlamini will hand Bedeman a thorough trouncing. “Yes Bedeman’s unbeaten in twelve fights and he’s the current champion, but that will all change on the night of June 19″ said the highly respected Tshabalala, who has no fear or trembling of seeing his boxer step into the roped square against the Badman. “Bedeman is one-dimensional and though he hits hard, he is far too predictable for a guy like Bongani who’ll send him into dreamland inside two rounds”.

Undaunted by Bedeman’s level of confidence going into the fight, Tshabalala has a hands-on approach with his fighters and he regards the good-looking Dlamini as one of the finest boxers he has ever coached.

“I worked with some of the best that this country had to offer” said Tshabalala, “like Dingaan Thobela and Cassius Baloyi, but believe me when I tell you that Bongani is going to rewrite the history books of boxing in South Africa…he’s that good!”

Opposing trainer Manny Fernandes, however, has predicted a knockout victory for his fighter in the seventh round, saying, “Dlamini is very flashy and he has good handspeed, but after taking Jason’s blows for four or five rounds he’ll realise that he’s in the ring with the strongest and meanest fighter in the country and we’ll put him away for keeps in about the seventh”.

We are more than happy with our website since the prime goal of this site is to cater for the needs of Golden Gloves Promotions fighters, trainers, managers etc. We are always willing to listen to suggestions but since we established the GGP website for the reasons I’ve mentioned, suffice to say that we’re more than happy with our selective contest and the postive response of viewers all around the globe.

“FanoftheGun” this website was created as a constant source of news emanating from the GGP consortium and as such we wish to keep it that way. Moreover for us to field randon topics for our contributors to discuss would mean we’d be deviating from our sole purpose: namely projecting our boxers and the plans we have in store for them. Incidentally the GGP website affords everyone the opportunity to voice their views, although we’re naturally selective about which queries we reply to. I’m sure you can understand that this stance is motivated by our constant dealings with fighters, managers and the options we have to scrutinise on a daily basis.

Fully understand Terry ….. would just be great for the fans to air their views on different topics as well, “their” views, and not necessarily the views of GGP…

But no problem. Still a great source of news and information, and we thank you for that !
