Naturally, when two-superbly conditioned warriors meet for local bragging rights and there’s a championship title throw in as a reward, the Alphabet title gets more than its fair share of international exposure.

IBO world junior flyweight champion Hekkie “The Hexecutioner” Budler (17-0) may have had his toughest assignment since turning professional, when he defeated Mexico’s Evaristo Primero (14-14-1) on a “split” decision in Laredo, Texas this past weekend but the 22-year-old South African passed a crucial test in the process.
