    Good Question South boy.

They come from the same amateur gym and sparred probably hundreds of rounds together so that would be interesting. They have even fought each other in a SA cadet final. In those days their sparring sessions were probably harder than most kids bouts. Booysen’s gym had the strongest boxing team in the country those days and i mean that. The Bruwer brohers, Stapelberg, Joey, Hekkie, The Quinn boys, Warren Joubert, Barry and Shane Friend, two very good amatuers. Tshepang Mohale, Tony Eletherio, hope i spelled that right. Quinton Erasmus. Hope i haven’t left anybody out.
